Home > Volunteer > Volunteering with MEDP MEDP is seeking volunteers to help us further our objectives. We offer three different types of contracts, with typically three different task opportunities: either applying for funding, writing for publication, or marketing/advertisement. These positions are suitable for undergraduate students, post-graduate students, academic staff, professionals, and based on qualification, the general public.
Volunteering at MEDP can get you practical experience in...
- Drafting of funding application documents
- Preparing publications (drafting documents)
- Research - Publication (authorship) - Leadership - Marketing and advertising
- Teamwork
- Jobs with advertising/marketing firms, divisions, or blocs/teams.
- Jobs with multinational organizations (you'll need an advanced degree mind you). - Research Associate positions. - Increase your chance for research scholarships. - Editorial positions. - Solid reference on your CV.
- Letter of recommendation (subject to performance during contract)
Namely, it all counts toward practical experience which employers covet from graduates. The three positions available are:
1) Researching relevant grant schemes, drafting applications for grants, and reporting to MEDP head office
2) Completing small research projects and drafting publications (your name is on the publication as co-author). 3) Advertising and marketing MEDP's conferences in a responsible and professional manner. Innovation is the key for this position. MEDP does not have the capacity to run marketing/advertising campaigns at present, which is why we are seeking people with creative minds who can devise ways to inform the public about MEDP, the work we do, and the services we offer.
The three positions are required to help MEDP achieve its not-for-profit and commercial objectives, both in Australia and abroad.
